Job Description
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in soil mechanics foundation engineering and geotechnical design combined with practical field experience and strong project management capabilities.
- Lead and manage geotechnical engineering deliverables within the PMC framework overseeing multiple design consultants and contractors.
- Provide expert input on geotechnical investigations analysis and design for diverse elements such as high-rise buildings basements transportation infrastructure and public realm works.
- Review and approve geotechnical reports method statements risk assessments and technical submittals.
- Coordinate with design infrastructure utilities and construction management teams to resolve geotechnical issues across project phases.
- Evaluate ground conditions and provide recommendations on foundation systems retaining structures earthworks ground improvement dewatering and slope stabilization.
- Ensure adherence to international and local codes.
- Participate in value engineering constructability reviews and risk workshops.
- Support field teams in supervising site investigations QA/QC of groundworks and geotechnical instrumentation monitoring.
- Contribute to technical governance assurance and lessons learned across the project lifecycle
Qualifications :
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in civil or Geotechnical Engineering (required); Masters degree (preferred).
- 10 years of relevant experience with at least 5 years in a senior role on major urban development or infrastructure projects.
- Previous PMC client-representative or multidisciplinary consultancy experience is highly desirable.
- Proven expertise in complex geotechnical works including deep foundations shoring systems soil-structure interaction and challenging subsurface conditions.
- Familiarity with local geotechnical conditions in Riyadh or similar arid collapsible soil environments is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and technical interfaces.
