Job Description

General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

  • Management of the construction works at the site to ensure the implementation of the technical aspects of design procurement and close-out in accordance with the program.
  • Attend executive meetings weekly progress construction meetings quality meetings and safety meetings as required and ensure that weekly technical meetings are attended by all relevant disciplines.
  • Supervise contractor mobilisation and any expansion of the Contractors Area in compliance with Employers requirements.
  • Coordinate the staging of site activities with contractors and agree appropriate access into out of and through the working areas.
  • Review and confirm no objection to the contractors overall strategy for material handling (in conjunction with the Supervision Consultant); and in line with Employers project approved overall logistics strategy.
  • Advise the Project Director on any potential variation to scope of work which may generate cost or time impact and present PMC assessment.
  • Review and monitor in a timely manner the Contractors proposed construction equipment and manpower histogram and advise Employer of any shortage.
  • Identify and monitor the status of construction related NOCs and assist the Contractor in obtaining permits and approvals (as necessary).
  • Ensure Contractors possession of relevant Building Permits letters of undertakings and/or Taking Over Certificates as necessary for site operations.
  • Manage construction activities and provide general interface coordination between contractors

Qualifications Experience Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in architecture or architectural engineering
  • At least 15 years of experience in construction of high-rise buildings
  • PMP certification
  • Strong track record of delivering projects in a fast moving and challenging environment
  • MS Office literacy including Excel and Word
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and organisation skill
