Job Description
This is a remote position.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the estimating team of a thriving commercial construction contractor. Youll use state-of-the-art estimating software to support diverse projects ranging from municipal infrastructure to private commercial developments. The role offers comprehensive training on proven bidding processes and the chance to contribute to high-value government contracts and commercial projects. With potential for multiple hires due to increasing project volume this position provides excellent growth opportunities in a company that is rapidly expanding its operations.
Use estimating software to perform take-offs for construction projects (asphalt concrete dirt removal site work).
Calculate project costs using established pricing structures (e.g. $3/sq. ft. for asphalt $14/linear ft. for concrete).
Prepare comprehensive proposals and bid documents.
Complete and submit bid documents for government contracts (IFBs) and private projects.
Follow up on submitted bids and maintain communication with prospects.
Manage daily flow of incoming bid requests and estimates.
Handle email correspondence with clients and project stakeholders.
Experience in construction bidding/estimating preferred but not required.
Ability to learn and use estimating software systems.
Strong attention to detail for accurate take-offs and calculations.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to be trained on company-specific processes and pricing.
Proficiency in English communication.
