Job Description

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced bookkeeper to take ownership of a comprehensive financial transformation project. You ll start by tackling an urgent and rewarding challenge - reconciling two years of financial records across multiple business entities - then transition into an ongoing role where you ll maintain and optimize the financial systems you help create. This position offers the perfect blend of problem-solving system building and ongoing financial management with the flexibility to grow into additional administrative responsibilities as the businesses expand. You ll work in a collaborative environment where your expertise will be valued and your contributions will directly impact business success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead comprehensive reconciliation of bank statements and credit card records across multiple business entities for 2023-2024
  • Transform disorganised financial data into clear categorised transaction records ready for tax preparation
  • Design and implement robust QuickBooks systems with automated categorization rules and streamlined processes
  • Create detailed profit and loss statements and comprehensive documentation packages for accounting professionals
  • Establish sustainable bookkeeping workflows that prevent future financial disorganisation
  • Manage ongoing financial operations including transaction categorization account reconciliation and financial reporting
  • Handle finance-related administrative tasks including client email communication and document organization
  • Prepare and organize financial files and documentation for accounting and tax purposes
  • Collaborate directly with business owner to optimize financial processes and support business growth
Requirements
  • Professional bookkeeping experience with demonstrated expertise in complex reconciliation projects
  • MUST HAVE A WINDOWS OS COMPUTER
  • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks software with experience in system setup and rule creation
  • Proven track record managing multi-entity bookkeeping and financial organization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for untangling complex financial situations
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management
  • Experience preparing comprehensive financial documentation for tax preparation and accounting purposes
  • Ability to work independently on urgent projects while maintaining high quality standards
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to create order from complex disorganised records
  • Strong communication skills for direct client interaction and collaboration
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing workload demands and business priorities
