Senior MEP BIM Modeler - APM

Role description:

Purpose This role will be responsible:

To operate within a single discipline with little supervision.

To support model delivery and compliance with project and company standards and meets clients Exchange Information Requirements (EIR).

To be able to use 3 or more modelling software packages with speciality in one package.

May lead a small team in BIM modelling and drawing production for single discipline under the supervision of BIM Coordinator.

To create a sense of shared ownership and accountability balancing this with decisiveness and holding others to account for delivery.

To take ownership for own responsibility creating clarity and motivating and aligning others.

Role accountabilities:

Use technical knowledge and experience to apply technical and practical engineering production skills in a BIM environment for typically larger and more complex commissions
Support the design development manufacture and construction of products equipment processes systems or services
Are responsible for model delivery and ensuring their model complies with project and company standards. They have knowledge of the BIM process

To operate multi-disciplinary modeling with less supervision

Possess a degree in engineering architecture or technical drafting

Excellent Revit and Autocad skills
Knowledgeable Navisworks and clash detection

Revit add-ins is an advantage

Ability to contribute to the teams digital initiative and automation of processes

To take ownership for own responsibility creating clarity and motivating and aligning others.

Excellent organizational skills and has a proactive approach to task management

Execute 3D modelling in a CDE (Common Data Environment) with limited supervision.

Expand understanding of the business benefits and build working relationships with regional colleagues.

Play a central role in the production of project BIM deliverables including 3D models that are accurate and developed in compliance with the relevant Arcadis project BIM Execution Plan (BEP).

Output BIM models and interface with drafting teams to enable drawings to be produced based on BIM models.

Deliver work that meets client and Arcadis requirements (as set out in the BEP)

Provide modelling guidance to other members of the BIM team.

Work with other design disciplines to ensure the integration of the overall design or solution.

Undertake production checking of work in progress to ensure that it meets design intent.

Successfully complete assigned BIM modelling work within budget and deadlines.

Participate and contribute to knowledge network to support Arcadis knowledge sharing

Contribute to internal CPD by presenting experiences at internal sessions.

Work with a Mentor to develop technical excellence to high standards.

Present 3-dimensional representations of the model in suitable formats (e.g visualisations) when requested.

Engaging in Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

Qualification and Experience

Bachelors degree in Engineering or Architecture or Equivalent Courses /

Technical Certification relating to BIM.

Preferably 4 years of experience working with relevant BIM Softwares on BIM projects.

Job experience in design consulting firm is required.

Proficient in Microsoft Application (word excel outlook).

Overseas Experience is advantage (work in other countries or project design out1sourcing company).

Communicates effectively both orally and in writing.

Has a systematic and methodological approach.

Can quickly adopt to drawing standards.
