Job Description
We are looking for Permanent Emergency Medical Assistant (EMA) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join us on a permanent basis at our Paeroa Station working a 4x4 roster. This follows a DDNN 4 x 4 roster.
We are looking for driven and compassionate individuals who are committed to help us achieve our mission and who have a willingness to demonstrate behaviours that align with Hato Hone St John core values -Do the right thing Side by side straight up Make it better Open minds.
In this role you will:
- Work alongside a qualified Ambulance Officer
- Drive the ambulance and assist with the delivery of patient care
- Ensure operational readiness of vehicle and equipment
- Complete other relevant administrative tasks.
Qualifications :
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A current St John Authority to Practice at First Responder or EMT
- Demonstrated excellent operational and clinical performance to date
- Excellent driving record
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus
- A genuine commitment to the wellbeing of others
- The ability to work under pressure
- Demonstrated being an excellent team player
- Evidence of CCE
- New Zealand citizenship permanent residency or work visa
- Demonstrated behaviours that align with Hato Hone St Johns core values - Do the right thing (Mahi Tika) Side by Side (T Tahi) Straight Up (Mahi Pono) Make it better (Whakapai Ake) Open Minds (Whakaaro Nui)
