Help rebuild the mission-critical systems of a major international airport
Are you ready to apply your Full-Stack expertise in one of the most complex and dynamic environments in the Netherlands Are you looking for a role where you not only build the state-of-the-art systems of the future but also keep todays vital operations running For a leading player in the international aviation industry we are looking for an experienced Senior Full-Stack Developer with a strong foundation in Java and front-end technologies.
You will be joining a large-scale transformation project where the central nervous system of the operation is being completely rebuilt. This is your chance to work on systems with maximum impact relied upon by millions of people every day.
About Our Client
Our client is one of Europes leading airports a dynamic world in itself that is in motion 24/7. Every day millions of passengers airlines and thousands of employees depend on its real-time operational systems. Currently the beating heart of the operationthe flight information systemis undergoing a complete transformation into a new advanced Airport Operational Database (AODB). You will step right into this crucial project and become a pivotal part of the transition.
Your Role: A Bridge Between Today and Tomorrow
As a Senior Full-Stack Developer you are the technical link between the existing mission-critical landscape and the innovative future. You are not afraid to get your hands dirty with legacy code while simultaneously building the next generation of applications.
Maintain and Modernize: You ensure the stability and performance of the current event-based flight information systems and refactor applications for better maintainability.
Build for the Future: You actively contribute to the development and implementation of the new state-of-the-art AODB in close collaboration with external development teams.
Plan and Execute: You will help plan and execute a seamless transition from the old system to the new one.
Advise and Troubleshoot: You serve as the technical expert perform code reviews and advise on the best solutions for both legacy and new systems.
Share Responsibility: Together with your DevOps team you share responsibility for 24/7 production support.
Your Tech Stack & Profile
Must-Haves:
A minimum of 10 years of experience as a professional Java Developer.
Demonstrable recent hands-on experience with Front-End development (Angular and/or React).
Your Knowledge & Experience:
In-depth knowledge of the Back-End: Java Spring AMQ Docker CI/CD.
Experience with relational databases (experience with MS SQL is a plus).
You communicate clearly and fluently in both Dutch and English.
You are proactive solution-oriented and a true team player with a DevOps mindset.
Major Plus: Experience within aviation logistics or with similar complex real-time operational systems.
