What Youll Do

Strategic Market Intelligence & Analysis

  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of economic and political environments assessing business impacts and growth opportunities across Nigeria and Ghana
  • Track and interpret government policy changes regulatory developments and macroeconomic conditions affecting business operations
  • Research and identify high-potential local partners who align with strategic objectives and possess capabilities to facilitate expansion
  • Support formulation and execution of business strategies to achieve ambitious short and long-term regional goals

Partnership Development & Alliance Management

  • Build and maintain influential business networks across private and public sectors in Nigeria and Ghana
  • Research affiliate strategies and business models to identify synergy opportunities and market expansion potential
  • Engage strategic partners and affiliates for joint business development initiatives and collaborative growth
  • Investigate market opportunities for affiliate business expansion across target sectors

Stakeholder Relations & Market Representation

  • Conduct strategic interviews following sectoral developments and major company announcements to understand business environment
  • Develop comprehensive intelligence reports for Managing Director regional management and Tokyo Headquarters
  • Foster relationships with key stakeholders clients and partners while participating in high-level networking events
  • Promote company presence and capabilities through strategic market positioning and thought leadership

Investment Project Management & Business Development

  • Identify and manage ongoing business partnerships across chemicals agriculture mobility and other priority sectors
  • Follow up on potential investment projects and business opportunities in Nigeria and Ghanas expanding economies
  • Support due diligence processes and partnership negotiations for strategic market entry initiatives
  • Monitor competitive landscape and market trends to inform investment and expansion decisions

Requirements

Who You Are

  • 4-7 years of proven business development experience in related fields with demonstrated success in market expansion
  • Strong track record in market research partnership development and stakeholder relationship management
  • Deep understanding of West African business environments particularly Nigeria and Ghana markets

What You Bring

  • Relevant degree in Management Science Economics Finance Engineering or related field from a reputable institution
  • MSc or MBA qualification considered advantageous for strategic analysis and market intelligence
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with strong analytical and reporting capabilities
  • Exceptional research and organizational skills with ability to synthesize complex market information
