SR Reservoir Engineer
About The Role
For an important International Oil & Gas Company we are currently looking for a SR Reservoir Engineer to work in Mexico City.
To be successful in this Role you need:
- Bachelors in petroleum engineer or related engineering
- Masters degree in petroleum engineering or relative to energy is desirable
- 15 years relevant experience in reservoir engineering
- Relevant experience with dynamic reservoir characterization specifically in complex Turbidite environment
- Experience in conventional reservoir engineering tools (PETEX suite OFM Kappa suite etc.)
- Proficient in numerical reservoir simulation specifically in the usage of the simulators (Petrel RE Eclipse TNavigator)
- Experience secondary projects design and implementation
- Experience in reserve/resource audit process focused on PRMS reserves classification
- Team lead able to work and manage a multi-disciplinary team
- Strong written and oral skills to efficiently communicate ideas plans
- Teamwork and collaboration with different stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
- Strong problem-solving capacities
- Detail-oriented focus on reaching the tasks/objectives proposed
Scope of work includes but is not limited to:
- Prepare the dynamic information acquisition plan (design) for exploratory appraisal and development wells. Perform the design and evaluation of PTA
- Monitoring and surveillance of dynamic data acquired during drilling operation including validation and quality control of the acquired information
- Perform conventional reservoir engineering validation and QC including production and pressure behaviors PVT analysis and interpretation SCAL data analysis among others
- Validate and/or design field development concepts for offshore fields in shallow and deep-water environments including the definition and location of producers to develop efficiently the fields also testing water or gas flooding strategies in order maximize the reserves thus increasing the recovery factors for oil qualities varying form gas to light oil and heavy oils
- Reservoir engineering inputs for the preparation of static model generation
- Generate production profiles for different FDPs concepts through the implementation of DCA material balance or numerical simulation
- Seeks solutions / techniques to improve wells production and reservoir recovery factor
- Participate in the reserves/resources certification process for exploration discovered and mature fields
- Support the corporate business plan process though the production profiles generation

Excellent English and Spanish communication skills.
Location based: Mxico City.
