Role Responsibilities:
- Collect clean and preprocess large datasets from various sources.
- Develop predictive models and machine learning algorithms to solve complex business problems.
- Analyze data to identify trends patterns and insights that drive business strategies.
- Create data visualizations to communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data-related projects and objectives.
- Implement data collection systems and other strategies to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Conduct statistical analysis to evaluate and improve models.
- Translate business objectives into analytical solutions.
- Monitor model performance and refine as necessary.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in data science and integrate new techniques when applicable.
- Prepare and present reports summarizing data findings and recommendations.
- Support ad-hoc data requests and analyses as needed.
- Advocate for the use of data in decision-making processes.
- Train and mentor junior data scientists and analysts.
- Participate in project planning and contribute to strategic discussions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science Statistics Mathematics or a related field.
- Proven experience working as a Data Scientist or in a similar analytical role.
- Strong understanding of statistical modeling techniques and machine learning algorithms.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python R or Java.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Familiarity with SQL and databases.
- Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms is an advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with ambiguous data and business requirements.
- Willingness to engage in continuous learning and professional development.
