Job Summary
Job Description CNC Programmer
Main Responsibilities
Develop and optimize CNC programs for milling turning or grinding machines based on technical drawings and specifications.
Interpret engineering blueprints CAD/CAM models and work instructions to create accurate machine code.
Set up CNC machines select appropriate tools and establish machining parameters for efficient operations.
Conduct trial runs and modify programs to improve accuracy productivity and quality.
Monitor machining processes identify issues and adjust programs to ensure high-quality production.
Collaborate with production design and quality teams to resolve technical challenges.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
Maintain documentation of CNC programs revisions and process improvements.
Provide technical support and training to operators on machine operation and program usage.
Essential Qualifications
Diploma / ITI / BE in Mechanical Engineering Production Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of proven experience as a CNC Programmer in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of CNC machines (milling turning or VMC/HMC).
Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (Mastercam SolidCAM NX or equivalent).
Familiarity with G-code M-code and CNC machine operations.
Skills Required
Excellent understanding of machining processes cutting speeds and tooling.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and 3D models with high accuracy.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in CNC programming and machine setup.
Good knowledge of quality inspection tools (Vernier Caliper Micrometer CMM etc.).
Attention to detail and commitment to precision and quality.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
