You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailOverview: The Platform Engineer is responsible for building and maintaining the backend services data pipelines and integration layers that power our agentic AI solutions in industrial environments. This role focuses on designing scalable secure and modular backend architectures that enable autonomous agents to interact with enterprise systems (e.g. MES ERP SCADA) and manufacturing data in real time. The Platform Developer lays the technical foundation for performance reliability and interoperability across the entire solution stack. Key Responsibilities: Design implement and maintain backend services and APIs to support agentic AI reasoning orchestration and system integration. Develop robust data handling logic for real-time and historical manufacturing data including data validation transformation and persistence. Integrate with enterprise systems (MES ERP SCADA IoT platforms) using appropriate protocols and interface standards. Ensure backend performance scalability and security particularly for deployments in hybrid cloud/on-premises environments. Collaborate with AI engineers frontend developers DevOps engineers and product teams to define and deliver backend interfaces and workflows. Contribute to system architecture decisions and participate in code reviews testing and continuous improvement initiatives. Monitor system health and implement observability strategies (logging tracing alerting) to support stable operation in production. Support modularization and reusability of core platform functionalities for different customer contexts. Qualifications: Bachelors or masters degree in computer science Software Engineering or a related field. Strong experience in backend development with one or more modern languages (e.g. Python Java Go ). Solid understanding of API design (REST gRPC) database systems (SQL NoSQL) and message-based architectures. Familiarity with enterprise and industrial IT environments including system integration patterns and protocols. Experience with microservices architecture containerized deployment (Docker/Kubernetes) and cloud-native design patterns. Knowledge of authentication authorization and data protection strategies in distributed systems. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills; experience working in cross-functional agile teams. Proficient in English with clear communication and documentation capabilities.
