Mr. Garaz Technologies Private Limited is a multidisciplinary engineering and mobility solutions company with strategic expertise in transportation fleet maintenance infrastructure repair and mechanical manufacturing. As part of our expansion into maritime engineering we are executing turnkey projects involving shipbuilding dry dock repairs and floating dock (wet dock) maintenance for both defense and commercial marine vessels.

We are hiring Riggers with strong experience in handling structural steel components blocks and heavy equipment during hull fabrication and shipbuilding operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for lifting moving and securing materials safely using cranes slings shackles and other rigging gear in coordination with crane operators and site supervisors.
Read and interpret rigging plans load charts and lifting arrangements based on engineering drawings.
Inspect lifting tools slings shackles and hooks to ensure load safety and compliance with standards.
Assist in lifting and shifting of heavy steel sections like hull blocks girders shell plates and frames.
Secure loads properly using chain blocks wire ropes synthetic slings and spreader bars.
Signal crane operators during lifting operations and ensure proper load balance and safety.
Follow lifting plans and coordinate with supervisors for safe execution in confined and elevated spaces.
Ensure all rigging is done within prescribed safe working loads (SWL) and follows IS/BS/DNV standards.
Report defective gear unsafe conditions or near misses to the supervisor immediately.
Maintain proper documentation of rigging equipment inspection logs and lifting permits.
Education: 8th Pass or above.
Certification: Valid Rigger Certification / Rigging Training from a recognized shipyard NSDC partner or industrial training center.
Experience:
Minimum 2 4 years of experience in shipbuilding yards heavy fabrication workshops or offshore/onshore industrial projects.
Exposure to lifting operations involving hull blocks deck structures piping spools or vehicle-mounted equipment.
Knowledge of sling angles load calculations lifting gear selection and center of gravity estimation.
Familiarity with lifting tools: chain pulley blocks D-shackles turnbuckles clamps beam trolleys etc.
Understanding of basic crane communication signals (hand/radio).
Ability to assist in structural alignment and final placement after rigging.
Awareness of lifting permits job safety analysis (JSA) and toolbox talk participation.
Physically fit and able to work at height in tight spaces or under extreme conditions.
Team player with strong discipline and alertness.
Willing to work in shifts and respond to urgent lifting needs on priority.
Adherence to all PPE and site safety protocols (helmet gloves harness boots mandatory).
Experience in defence shipyards commercial docks heavy industrial fabrication or PSU-linked projects.
Familiarity with lifting standards from IRS DNV Lloyds or IACS classification societies.
Previous work with block erection hull outfitting or modular shipbuilding projects.
