3 months contract with a Local Authority
Job Summary:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Adult Social Workers to join a dynamic and supportive adult social care team.
This temporary role involves supporting adults across a range of needs including physical disabilities learning disabilities mental health conditions and older adults.
The post holders will undertake a variety of statutory duties and assessments in a strengths-based person-centred manner ensuring quality care planning and safeguarding in line with relevant legislation.
Key Duties/Accountabilities (Sample):
Conduct Care Act assessments reviews and support planning using a strengths-based approach.
Carry out Mental Capacity Assessments and contribute to Community DoLS processes.
Undertake Section 42 Safeguarding Enquiries and complete safeguarding assessments.
Manage complex caseloads and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Participate in Continuing Healthcare (CHC) and Section 117 aftercare planning.
Liaise with health professionals carers and other agencies to ensure coordinated support.
Maintain accurate timely records and adhere to statutory responsibilities.
Work independently while receiving regular professional supervision.
Skills/Experience:
Experience working with adults with complex needs disabilities or mental health concerns.
Strong understanding of adult social care legislation including the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005.
Proven ability to carry out safeguarding enquiries and risk assessments.
Experience of working collaboratively with partner agencies.
Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within statutory timescales.
Additional Information:

Social Work England registration (required).
Qualified Social Worker (Degree Diploma C.Q.S.W or C.S.S).
Full UK driving licence and ability to travel within the county.
Hours: 37 per week.
