You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Production Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing all operations within the glass container production plant ensuring efficiency compliance with international quality standards and safety across all stages of the manufacturing process. This role involves coordinating supervisors technicians and operators to guarantee timely deliveries optimize costs and strengthen the organization s market position in the production of glass containers for food beverages cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.
The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with extensive experience in the glass industry capable of driving continuous improvement implementing advanced manufacturing technologies and fostering a culture of operational excellence. This position requires a balance of strategic planning hands-on leadership and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the plant consistently meets production goals while maintaining strict safety and environmental standards.
Production Planning & Control: Define and manage the master production plan according to market demand and plant capacity.
Operations Management: Oversee the melting molding quality control and packaging processes for glass containers.
Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure that all products meet international standards and certifications (ISO GMP and regulations for food- and cosmetic-grade glass).
Team Leadership: Lead and develop production personnel fostering a culture of safety productivity accountability and technical growth.
Process Optimization: Apply continuous improvement methodologies (Lean Six Sigma TPM) to reduce waste energy consumption and cycle times.
Cross-Department Coordination: Collaborate with maintenance logistics procurement and quality teams to ensure material and equipment availability.
Innovation & Technology: Promote the adoption of advanced technologies in furnaces molds and automated production lines to enhance competitiveness.
Performance Reporting: Prepare regular reports on productivity efficiency costs and key performance indicators (KPIs) for senior management.
Health & Safety: Guarantee adherence to occupational safety and environmental standards across all production activities.
Bachelor s degree in Industrial Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (or a related field).
Minimum of 8 years of experience in production processes within the glass industry (mandatory).
Strong knowledge of glass melting furnaces molds and automated production lines.
Proven experience managing large teams (100 employees).
Familiarity with international regulations and standards for food and cosmetic glass packaging.
Proficiency in ERP systems and production analysis tools.
Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (both written and spoken).
