Head of Compliance (m/f/x)

• Act as BaFin-appointed Compliance officer for MaComp- and MaRisk-Compliance and Single Safeguarding Officer
• Develop implement and maintain robust compliance policies procedures controls and frameworks. Regularly review and update these to align with regulatory changes and industry best practices.
• Engage cross-functionally as well as with internal and external auditors to implement a best-in-class compliance management program in line with regulatory standards and industry best practices
• Coordinate compliance-related projects with internal teams and external partners. Lead the development and enhancement of compliance processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
• Act as advisor and strategic partner to senior management providing expert compliance insights and guidance to support decision-making and drive the organizations strategic initiatives.
• Provide strategic leadership management and guidance to the Compliance team. Foster a culture of operational excellence continuous improvement and collaboration. Mentor and develop team members to achieve their professional goals.

Qualifications :

• University degree in law business administration or any related field
• Several years of professional experience in a comparable role in the financial services industry
• In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations such as MiFID 2 WpHG KWG MaComp and MaRisk etc
• Adequate leadership experience
• Excellent stakeholder management leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively
• Ability to navigate in a fast-paced environment and to apply a pragmatic risk-based approach
• Business fluency in German and English
