API & UI Automation Tester
Exciting opportunity for an experienced API & UI Automation Tester with strong skills in Java Guidewire and Selenium. Work on enterprise-scale insurance applications in a hybrid environment based in Markham. Ideal for professionals with 5 10 years experience in automation and digital transformation projects.
What is in it for you:
Salaried: $60-63 per hour.
Incorporated Business Rate: $67-72 per hour.
6-month contract.
Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.
Hybrid model 3 days per week on-site subject to change.

Responsibilities:
Design develop and execute API automated tests and frameworks to validate application interfaces.
Design develop and execute UI automated tests and frameworks to validate user interface functionality.
Leverage Guidewire software to test insurance applications against business and technical requirements.
Analyze test outcomes and provide comprehensive reports with improvement recommendations.
Collaborate with development operations and business teams to ensure thorough testing coverage.
Monitor test automation metrics and performance indicators.
Maintain detailed documentation of test plans scripts results and Jira QE boards.
What you will need to succeed:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
Certifications in relevant technologies or methodologies considered an asset.
Certification in API/UI automation testing is an asset.
5 10 years of experience in API and UI testing specifically within personal and commercial insurance applications.
Proficiency in Guidewire software.
Strong knowledge of API and UI testing tools including Selenium Postman SOAP UI and GW GT Framework.
Familiarity with scripting languages such as JavaScript and Python.
Hands-on experience in Java/J2EE technologies including EJB Servlets JSP JDBC Web Services JMS and JPA.
Experience with Edge API Layer and digital portal integrations.
Ability to integrate applications using XML and GOSU.
Experience with CI/CD tools and platforms including Jenkins Git AWS and Azure.
Experience contributing to large-scale transformation programs involving core technologies and external implementation partners.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and precision.
Experience working in cloud-based environments is preferred.
Knowledge of insurance industry standards and regulations is preferred.
