Were looking for a hands-on leader with a deep software engineering background to own and scale our QA function. This isnt just about catching bugs - its about building an automation-first culture that accelerates releases strengthens regression coverage and gives developers instant feedback so we can ship quality at speed.
What Youll Do
- Set the vision & lead the team - run an automation-first QA program that balances strategy process and people.
- Automate relentlessly - design and implement test frameworks (Playwright AI-based frameworks) for web and desktop.
- Shape QA workflows - create document and refine processes that make testing faster smarter and more reliable.
- Bridge engineering & product - manage stakeholder expectations while balancing competing priorities.
- Get hands-on - contribute to release testing triage and close bugs and keep regression coverage watertight.
- Enable delivery at scale - optimize testing pipelines and help integrate automation into CI/CD.
What You Bring
- A strong software engineering foundation with experience building automation for modern web and/or desktop apps.
- Solid hands-on testing skills for browser-based applications.
- Fluency in Agile software development practices.
- Ability to create and execute a full QA strategy (plans processes frameworks).
- Experience with bug tracking tools (Jira GitLab etc.).
- Sharp organisational skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven experience leading distributed QA teams.
- A passion for shipping high-quality software that makes life better for customers.
Nice-to-Haves
- Background in 3D CAD applications or testing desktop installers/plugins.
- Experience debugging or testing 3D web-based apps.
- Familiarity with Figma Miro Mural or similar collaborative platforms.
- Experience partnering with DevOps to bake automation into CI/CD pipelines.
