Job Description

Position Title: Systems Administrator

Department: Information Technology

Employment Type: Full-Time


The Systems Administrator will be responsible for managing maintaining and optimizing the organization s IT infrastructure. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability security and performance of all systems and networks. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with various departments to support the technological needs of the business particularly within the retail sector. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the technological efficiency of a dynamic retail organization. The Systems Administrator will play a vital role in supporting the company s mission to deliver exceptional service and value to our customers.




Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

- Administer and maintain server and network infrastructure including hardware software and security systems.

- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability of services.

- Implement and manage backups disaster recovery plans and data integrity protocols.

- Configure and deploy new hardware and software solutions according to company standards.

- Manage user accounts permissions and access controls to maintain system security.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application deployment and resolve technical issues.

- Stay informed about the latest industry trends and technologies to recommend improvements to existing systems.

- Document processes configurations and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and knowledge sharing.

- Provide technical support and training to end-users as required.

- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and organizational policies regarding data security and privacy.


Qualifications:

- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.

- Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar role.

- Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows Linux) and networking protocols.

- Experience with virtualization technologies and cloud services.

- Proficient in scripting and automation tools.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

- Relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA Microsoft Cisco) are preferred.
