About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Server Engineer to join its Infrastructure Services team within the CIO Division. This role is critical to supporting the department s digital infrastructure and ensuring the reliability security and performance of its Windows Server environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert-level support for Windows Server environments including Active Directory Entra ID DNS PKI ADFS DFS File and Print services and Group Policy with AGPM.
- Manage and maintain systems monitoring and patching using Microsoft System Centre tools (SCOM SCCM/MECM) and Intune.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues including escalation and major incident response.
- Implement and support cyber security controls including application whitelisting host-based firewalls vulnerability scanning and device control.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver ICT projects and BAU operations.
- Contribute to technical documentation including SOPs design documents and operational guides.
Essential Criteria
- Extensive experience with Windows Server technologies and enterprise infrastructure components.
- Proficiency in Microsoft System Centre products and Intune for monitoring and patching.
- Strong understanding of cyber security tools and methodologies relevant to government environments.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience managing Azure IaaS environments including template deployment and resource administration.
- Familiarity with Australian Government cyber security frameworks (ISM Essential 8 ACSC).
- Proven ability to produce high-quality technical documentation.
- Experience with Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions such as CyberArk and enterprise identity management systems.
