Job Description

We now have a great opportunity at our Kalgoorlie Terminal for a Senior Operator to join our established team. Reporting to the Site Supervisor this full-time role would suit someone that wants to stay active and has an interest in the petroleum industry. 

Responsibilities

  • Overall safety operation and maintenance of Kalgoorlie Terminal.
  • Receipt safe handling and storage of fuel products.
  • Operational tasks associated with maintenance and product quality including product transfers product sampling and testing.
  • Raising maintenance work notifications work clearances gas testing permitting and Lock out Tag out.
  • Hot oil systems operations Interceptor operations and storm water management
  • Valve transfer and gantry operations.
  • Shipping bunkering and Rail/Tanker loading/unloading.
  • Emergency response and incident control.
  • Preparation and submission of daily stock sheets.
  • Participation in HSSE assurance activities audits emergency response work insights in the context of maintaining our safety management systems.
  • Undertaking basic housekeeping duties in relation to operational areas and work area/site.
  • Ad hoc audits and interaction with drivers and their fleet vehicles for compliance and safe operations.

Qualifications :

  • Strong communication skills with a positive and flexible attitude.
  • Strong passion and commitment to HSSE (Health Safety Security & Environment) and confidence to speak up when something isnt right.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • People focused dependable detail-oriented.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Innovative problem-solver who has ability to operate with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to hold a forklift licence (training will be provided).
  • Operational or manufacturing environment experience (ideally in the dangerous goods industry) is desirable.
