The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our Legal team at Crown Melbourne on a full-time permanent basis.

This is a pivotal role within a dynamic and progressive legal function providing high-quality legal advice across all aspects of Crown Melbournes operations. Youll work closely with senior leaders supporting day-to-day business activities ensuring compliance and helping to navigate complex legal matters. This role offers variety challenge and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced environment.

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing timely commercially focused legal advice across a broad range of business matters.
  • Drafting negotiating and advising on contracts including goods services consultancy leases and IT.
  • Promoting compliance with legislative and contractual obligations.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to proactively identify legal risks and solutions.
  • Liaising with external counsel on complex legal issues.
  • Assisting in the development of policies procedures and training on legal matters.
  • Supporting the General Counsel Crown Melbourne on strategic legal initiatives.

About You

Youre a confident and commercially minded legal professional who thrives in a collaborative environment. You enjoy partnering with the business solving complex problems and providing pragmatic legal advice that supports strategic outcomes.

You will also bring:

  • A minimum of 8 years post-admission experience including at least 3 years in-house.
  • Strong experience in drafting and advising on a broad range of contractual and commercial matters.
  • Employment law and litigation experience (preferred but not essential).
  • Admission to practice as a Solicitor in the Supreme Court of Victoria.
  • Excellent interpersonal negotiation and communication skills.
  • High level of computer literacy and attention to detail.
