Job Description
Sand Valley is a golf resort and community settled gently upon 12000 acres of rugged pre-historic sand dunes in central Wisconsin. Here residents and guests will find five world-class golf courses built in harmony with the land: Sand Valley Mammoth Dunes The Sandbox The Lido and Sedge Valley. Founded in 2016 by brothers Michael and Chris Keiser the resort is known for its friendly hospitality and a community of golf and outdoor enthusiasts who have been drawn to the raw beauty and serenity of the vast Wisconsin Wilderness. Inspired by the heathland golf courses of London Sand Valley showcases golf as it was meant to be much like the other Dream Golf properties Bandon Dunes and Rodeo Dunes.
Beyond premier golf Sand Valley is a year-round celebration of all the outdoors from fat-tire biking hiking and kayaking to ice hockey skating or a guided cold plunge. The resort now features a 13000-square-foot Tennis Center with 16 grass tennis courts and the eleventh Court Tennis facility in the United States. Alongside soul-stirring golf and outdoor exploration Sand Valley offers a variety of savory dining venues showcasing globally inspired and rustic Wisconsin cuisine.

Position Summary:
- Welcomes guests in an attentive and enthusiastic fashion. Smiles and presents professional appearance. Provides great hospitality and service of beverage and snack items while inputting/processing both written and digital guest transactions. Works with other staff members to influence customer flow timely service and meet guests needs. Maintains a clean and sanitized work area in accordance with company quality standards. Assists in the daily ordering/transportation of food and beverage product and supplies. Submits daily cash/credit reports and deposits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare the Turnstand for opening following our company procedures and ensuring an adequate supply of inventory.
- Procure additional supplies as needed.
- Greet guests with a warm smile and pleasant demeanor providing excellent customer service throughout their visit.
- Cook and rotate hot dogs brats and other items ensuring our food is fresh and delicious.
- Handle all cash and credit card transactions according to our standard operating procedures maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
- Promptly report any guest complaints to your supervisor ensuring swift resolution.
- Perform side work clean-up and closing duties as assigned maintaining a clean and organized Turnstand.
- Count and balance the cash drawer and receipts at the end of the day ensuring accurate financial records.
- Maintain daily inventory and records keeping track of stock levels and reporting any discrepancies.
- Comply with tipping reporting requirements as necessary.
- Adapt to any other duties as appropriate to support the smooth operation of the Turnstand and provide exceptional service to our guests.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Prior restaurant experience of at least one year is preferred
- Demonstrated excellence in written verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Stamina to stand sit walk push pull lift grasp bend and kneel for up to five hours at a time
- Capability to lift to 50 lbs occasionally 30 lbs frequently and 10 lbs constantly
- Minimum availability to work is 3 full 8-hour shifts MUST include either Saturday or Sunday
- All team members are required to take Learn2Serve Training on Alcohol Tobacco and Food Handling
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor settings including the restaurant/lounge and on-course areas. Team members may be exposed to hot surfaces sharp utensils moving equipment cleaning materials and varying weather conditions. Adhering to safety protocols is essential to prevent injuries from environmental and equipment hazards.
