Job Type: Ophthalmologist
Subspecialty: General Ophthalmology with ability to do Cataract Surgery
Practice Location: Dartmouth Taunton New Bedford Fall River Massachusetts. Open position in Dartmouth/Taunton
Population: Dartmouth 34000. Taunton 62000
MD Or Corporate Owned: MD Owned
Reason for Job Opening: Provider retiring
If Physician is retiring how much longer will Physician Work: End of October 2025
Experience Requirement: Will take any experience level but prefer experienced cataract surgeon
Partnership Opportunity: Available.
Target Compensation: Depends on experience level but starting $350000 base salary plus bonus.
Bonus Opportunity: 25% of collections over 2.5x wage threshold.
Retirement Program: 401k 25% match on all contributions.
Other Benefits: Up to $3000 expense reimbursement per year for professional education. 8 Paid Holidays. Practice pays professional liability coverage.
Relocation: Up to $10000 reimbursed with receipts.
Vacation/PTO: 4 Weeks PTO 5 days for CME 7 Sick Days.
Target Start Date: November 1st 2025.
Practice Management: Nextech Intellechart Pro EMR
Current patient volume: 40-62 per day depending on MD
Annual Vit Procedure: 3600
Estimated Surg Volume for this role: 16-17 minimum cases per surgery day. Case count set by the anesthesia group we contract with.
Support Staff: Techs Scribes Front Desk in-house billing Admin full support.
Hospital Call: Yes four local hospitals. St. Luke’s Hospital Charlton Memorial Hospital St. Anne’s Hospital Tobey Hospital.
MDs on Staff: 5
ODs on Staff: 9
Partners: One. Purchased all shares from his partner recently bringing in two more partners by end of 2025 and one more to follow within a year.
OD Network: Yes
OD – patient per day expectation: 16-20
Refractive Surgery - Lasik: Refer out.
Laser - O.R.: Lumenis Selecta Duet
Vit System: Centurion Vision System
Office 532 Laser: Iridex Oculight Diode
