Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Residency Classification Specialist. - Boca Raton FL.
Summary of responsibilities:
Assist in the collection organization and review of residency documents to determine classification for tuition purposes in accordance with Florida Atlantic University policies and Florida Board of Governors Regulation 1009.21.
Thoroughly review required documentation to assess residency status for tuition purposes and ensure compliance with relevant state regulations.
Facilitate email correspondence with applicants regarding residency classification and admissions requirements.
Conduct one-on-one meetings via Zoom Teams and in-person with students and their families to discuss residency and admissions criteria.
Provide assistance to prospective students as needed.
Read reply and co-manage a departmental-specific email inbox responding to residency inquiries and specific academic and admissions questions to appropriate stakeholders.
Contribute proactively to the enhancement of application workflows and the automation of current and future processes with a focus on improving the residency classification process.
Coordinate with other departments such as Tuition & Billing Financial Aid Kelly Struhl Scholarship Program and New Student Orientation to communicate residency classifications and related information.
Use of Student Information Systems such as Banner Slate OnBase and state-wide databases to confirm and update student both domestic and international student information.
