PacWhale Eco-Adventures is looking for marine Naturalists for our upcoming season.
As a Naturalist with PacWhale Eco-Adventures youll be responsible for assisting in the safe navigation and proper operation of the vessel ensuring a safe environment for all passengers and educating passengers aboard our eco-tours on Hawaiis geology geography natural history ecology culture and all aspects of marine life. Youll work a variety of ecotours from Maalaea harbor promoting the mission of our non-profit parent organization Pacific Whale Foundation.
Our ideal applicant will have a bachelors degree from an accredited institution with an emphasis in Marine Biology Ecology Zoology or Environmental Science some experience with marine education/interpretation experience working on boats and a passion for talking with people about the marine environment. You should be a strong swimmer who is able to work long days in a tropical (hot/humid/wet) environment aboard a moving vessel at sea. Being already on Maui will set you apart from other applicants.

This is an hourly non-exempt full-time position. Pay is from $16.20/hr. based on skills/experience tips and commission.

The work you do helps support the mission of Pacific Whale Foundation a 501(c)(3) by working to protect the ocean through science and advocacy and inspire environmental stewardship.

Within 30 days of employment must obtain CPR/First Aid certification oxygen/AED certification lifeguard certification Hawaii bar card and TB clearance.
