What we offer
The MedTech Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the Memory Care neighborhood. This position is responsible for ensuring the safety cleanliness and well-being of residents in common areas while providing support to MedTechs and caregivers during their shifts. The ideal candidate is observant compassionate and highly attentive to the unique needs of individuals living with dementia.
Resident Supervision & Safety
Act as the primary observer in the living room dining room and other shared spaces to monitor resident safety and comfort.
Recognize and promptly report any changes in resident behavior mood or physical condition to the MedTech Resident Care Coordinator and Health and Wellness Director.
Provide redirection reassurance and support to residents as needed ensuring a calm and secure environment.
Assist in preventing unsafe behaviors such as wandering falls or altercations between residents.
Dining Support
Prepare the dining area prior to meal service ensuring tables are clean organized and appropriately set.
Assist residents with seating and non-clinical dining needs during meals.
Clean and reset the dining area after each meal to maintain a sanitary and welcoming environment.
Environmental Maintenance
Ensure the common-area restroom near the medication room remains clean stocked and safe for resident use throughout the shift.
Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of common areas to promote a safe home-like atmosphere.
Team Collaboration
Provide non-clinical support to MedTechs and caregivers as needed to ensure efficient workflow and quality resident care.
Communicate effectively with all team members regarding resident needs incidents or potential safety concerns.
Ability to stand walk and remain active for the duration of the shift.
Ability to assist residents with light mobility support as needed.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
