Were looking for a seasoned Principal Adviser to join our this influential role youll lead the delivery of high-quality timely and consistent ministerial advice correspondence and official information responses.
Youll be a key driver of strategic thinking and continuous improvement guiding complex work programmes and mentoring others to lift performance. As a trusted adviser to senior leaders youll also play a vital role in cross-agency collaboration and embedding best practice across the system.
To be considered for this position you must be a current New Zealand Citizenandable to obtain and maintain a NZ Government National Security Clearance at Confidential level. Youre an experienced professional with a strong track record in ministerial servicing executive support or public sector policy. You bring political nous sound judgement and a calm solutions-focused approach to complex and sensitive issues.
You thrive in fast-paced environments build strong relationships with ease and are known for your ability to influence and lead with credibility.
You will need to demonstrate:
- Proven experience in ministerial servicing public sector policy or executive support at a senior level
- Strong political awareness and the ability to navigate complex and sensitive issues with confidence
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a sharp eye for detail
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels
- A commitment to continuous improvement and lifting performance across teams
