Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking a 3rd Class Electrician in its Panama City FL location. The electrician will perform entry level duties required to layout fabricate and install electrical wiring or coaxial cable. under direct supervision or guidance.

Essential Functions:

  • Performs entry level duties required to layout fabricate and install electrical wiring or coaxial cable onboard ships.
  • Assists experienced level electricians with checks tests and troubleshooting of shipboard electrical systems for conformance to specifications and performs repair removal and reinstallation of wiring as necessary.
  • Cuts wires to length strips insulation from wire ends and insulates connections with plastic sleeves.
  • May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Qualifications:

  • 0-3 years shipboard electrical experience.
  • Possess skills and abilities to perform the entry level requirements of a shipboard or airframe electrician with supervision or guidance.
  • Ability to follow drawings specifications technical manuals design
  • Have an understanding in the use basic tools of their trade associated with electrical installations of cable and mounting of equipment.
  • Must be able to provide own hand tools.
  • U.S citizenship required
