What Youll Be Doing:
Position summary
Quality Engineer (Automation) this position is responsible for the creation and debugging of test automation scripts. Position requires automation experience using BDD methodology preferably for Karate framework skillset. Experience with Selenium Java and CI/CD cycle preferably in GitHub Actions would be an added benefit. Total experience should be 3 to 5 years.
This person will strictly adhere to development patterns established by the testing automation architect. This person will utilize knowledge of Karate framework to develop document and execute test scripts in support of the release cycles.
This individual will work with minimal supervision; relying on instruction and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Ability to work independently and creative thinking is required.
Essential functions
Professional and precise communication listening and interpersonal skills
Analyse user stories and acceptance criteria to create effective test scenarios and cases for automation.
Automation script development using Karate/Selenium Java (BDD Pattern) utilizing JavaScript when needed.
Develop Test data management strategies
Code Reviews
Automation script execution monitoring and fixing script failures daily/frequent basis
Evaluate test results from a technical standpoint
Gaining functional knowledge of the Application Under Test
Isolate and analyze defects prior to escalating to software developers for resolution
Contribute to the continuous advancement of engineering and quality processes
Work in an Agile globally dispersed team environment to develop automated testing solutions and contributing to user story deliveries.
Document all defects and project issues; evaluate quality state and readiness
Conduct presentations of the work via agile ceremonies and participate in technical knowledge sharing sessions

Academic Qualification
Bachelor of Engineering/ MCA or equivalent College degree or certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Mandatory Requirements:
Employees must have a high-speed broadband internet connection with a minimum speed of50 Mbpsand the ability to set up a wired connection to their home network to ensure effective remote work. These requirements may be updated as needed by the business.
