Job Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Swindon to assist with the appointment of a Repairs Surveyor on a 7-month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 34.91 - 46.97 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day repairs across domestic and commercial properties.
- Diagnose building faults and specify appropriate repair solutions.
- Conduct safety inspections in line with regulations and service standards.
- Liaise with tenants leaseholders contractors and internal teams to ensure timely resolution of repair issues.
- Prepare estimates issue work orders and manage follow-up/variation orders.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years experience in building surveying/inspection including contract administration.
- Knowledge of construction methods faults health & safety and relevant legislation.
- Strong IT skills (Microsoft Word Excel and housing/repairs systems).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to explain technical matters to non-technical staff and tenants.
- Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Construction or equivalent.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
