Job Summary

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Swindon to assist with the appointment of a Repairs Surveyor on a 7-month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 34.91 - 46.97 per hour

Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day repairs across domestic and commercial properties.
Diagnose building faults and specify appropriate repair solutions.
Conduct safety inspections in line with regulations and service standards.
Liaise with tenants leaseholders contractors and internal teams to ensure timely resolution of repair issues.
Prepare estimates issue work orders and manage follow-up/variation orders.

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years experience in building surveying/inspection including contract administration.
Knowledge of construction methods faults health & safety and relevant legislation.
Strong IT skills (Microsoft Word Excel and housing/repairs systems).
Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to explain technical matters to non-technical staff and tenants.
Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Construction or equivalent.
Full UK Driving Licence.
