Job Description

c.40000 Bonus & Benefits Office-Based near Oxford

Looking to build a career in technical sales with a clear path into external sales This is an excellent opportunity to join a global player in machine vision and industrial automation starting in an office-based role with progression into a customer-facing sales position complete with company car once external sales responsibilities are taken on.

The Role

Youll be joining a focused and supportive sales team working on the full sales cycle from lead generation through to closing deals. Early responsibilities will centre on developing proposals nurturing enquiries and supporting senior sales colleagues giving you the foundation to step into external sales and manage your own accounts.

What youll be doing

Following up on inbound and warm enquiries generated through marketing channels
Creating detailed proposals technical presentations and tailored solutions
Proactively reaching out to new prospects via calls email and social media
Building and maintaining relationships with existing customers
Carrying out online meetings and demos with qualified prospects
Maintaining accurate records of interactions using Salesforce CRM
Supporting the sales team in achieving quarterly and annual revenue targets
Attending industry events/trade shows to network and generate new leads

What were looking for

Minimum 3 years experience in sales customer service or lead generation within a technical environment
Degree-level education in Engineering Business or Marketing (2:1 or above preferred)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Organised detail-focused and target-driven
Strong negotiation abilities and logical problem-solving approach
Willingness to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment

Desirable:

Experience in sales development with a track record of hitting targets
Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM software
Knowledge of manufacturing/industrial automation or machine vision
Clean UK driving licence
