As a Lead Customer Engineer youll gain unique exposure to Sales Marketing and Product Development while acting as a technical liaison between our customers and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with customers to develop power and interconnect solutions that meet technical and business needs.
- Analyze customer requirements and match them with current products or propose modifications and new product concepts.
- Provide expert product knowledge and technical guidance to support customer projects.
- Create 3D models technical presentations and engineering documents (drawings specs lab test results plating analysis).
- Utilize internal systems like Windchill product configurators and PDM tools effectively.
- Engage thermal engineering and simulation teams and facilitate lab testing to support design proposals.
- Identify emerging industry trends and help differentiate our products from competitors.
- Develop trusted adviser relationships with key customer engineering teams.
- Lead or participate in Voice of Customer initiatives for new product development.
- Achieve and exceed strategic objectives.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
- Experience: 10 years in the connector or interconnect industry.
- Technical Expertise:
- Experience with interconnect systems or controllers.
- 2-5 years providing technical support to achieve design wins in the connector industry.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling and Product Data Management (e.g. Creo Windchill).
- Knowledge of ESS/EV charging and battery management systems.
- Familiarity with industry specifications (UL EIA IEC Telcordia) is a plus.
- Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication across global teams.
- Strong organizational presentation and customer service skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and internal product systems.
