Cardiology Physician/Nurse Practitioner

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionatePhysician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP)with experience inCardiology Preventive Cardiology or Internal Medicineto join our new and growing Preventive Cardiology Division. This provider will work in collaboration with our lead Preventive Cardiologist and a multidisciplinary care team to deliver cutting-edge preventive and diagnostic services.
This is an exciting opportunity tohelp shape and grow a brand-new programwithin a well-established physician-led medical group.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision and collaboration of the attending cardiologist.
  • Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular risk assessments histories and physical exams.
  • Educate patients on prevention strategies including diet exercise smoking cessation and lifestyle modification.
  • Follow up on diagnostic tests (e.g. EKG echocardiograms stress testing advanced lipid panels imaging studies).
  • Assist in developing and implementing care pathways protocols and clinical programs for preventive cardiology.
  • Coordinate care with primary care physicians orthopedic surgeons vascular specialists and other members of the OrthoArizona network.
  • Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the EMR.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to research education or program development as needed.
Qualifications
  • Current Arizona PA or NP license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date).
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Certification by NCCPA (PA) or relevant national certifying body (NP).
  • Minimum of 10 years of clinical experience in Cardiology Internal Medicine or related specialty (Preventive Cardiology experience preferred but not required).
  • Strong clinical skills in managing cardiovascular risk factors.
  • Excellent communication teamwork and patient-education abilities.
  • Passion for preventive care and innovation in cardiovascular health.
