The Project Advisor/Transfer Coordinator provides individual and group counseling to enrolled TTC students in the TRIO Student Support Services Program a federally funded program serving students who meet specific low-income first-generation or disabilities criteria and who have an academic need. This individual also provides specialized transfer advisement and assistance to the programs participants which is critical in meeting transfer and graduation objectives.
This position requires a bachelors degree and experience in student services programs. The preferred candidate will have a bachelors degree in guidance counseling education administration or a closely related field and (1) one year of experience in an educational environment. This position is a grant position and the salary is commensurate of a salary range of a pay band 5 $38 985-$57000.
Ideal candidate will have a masters degree in guidance counseling education administration or a closely related field and have related experience with TRIO programs. Experience working with first-generation low-income and disabled students along with experience in student assessment with academically disadvantaged populations and TRIO programs is highly desirable. Candidate will have experience in academic advising and financial aid as well as providing individual and group counseling. Successful candidates will have student services experience facilitating workshops on college life financial aid and/or career counseling. Experience working with educationally underserved communities and students with disabilities as well as career and academic advising college or high school students is a must. Excellent customer service leadership and organizational skills are essential.
