Warehouse Inventory Technician

Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of warehouse experience preferred.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable): Citizenship or work authorization to work in the United States required.

Job Summary:
Perform duties supporting the operation of the warehouse including receiving inspecting inventorying verifying accuracy and distributing arriving shipments. This position performs other typical warehouse tasks such as unloading and loading delivery vehicles sorting and labeling warehouse items stocking shelves preparing shipments counting items and general cleaning tasks. All tasks to be performed in a safe and organized manner. Occasionally responsible for delivering and picking up items at locations in Bucks County utilizing a Bucks IU vehicle.

Essential Functions:
Responsible for receiving inspecting verifying contents and entering information into data systems for incoming warehouse shipments.
Handles routine questions from visitors to facility. Monitors and assists guests.
Unloading and load delivery vehicles sort and label warehouse items stock shelves and prepare shipments.
Comply with all safety norms and regulations set by industry and Bucks IU.
Monitor building security by performing such tasks as opening the facility locking doors and arming security system.
Deliver and pickup supplies and materials when requested.
Support special projects such as large-scale distribution surplus disposal or emergency supply deployment.
Keep Warehouse clean orderly and safe.
Perform such other duties as assigned by the Supervisor of Facilities Services.

Supervisory Responsibility: No supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands: Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing. Must
be able to stand crawl crouch and bend/twist from a stationary position for sustained periods of time. Able to walk sustained period of the workday throughout the school district. Able to hear with 40 decibel loss maximum and see with near acuity of 20 inches or less with normal depth perception color vision field of vision and accommodation. Climb to height of 25 feet or more balancing on ladder scaffolding and catwalks. Exposure to various physical hazards and atmospheric conditions that may affect the respiratory system and/or skin. Able to stoop repetitively and twist the body from a stationary position and reach. Able to push and pull objects weighting up to 50 pounds and use of fingers to pick feel reach and grasp objects. Lift up to 50 pounds with a height up to 30 inches on a repetitive basis. Dollies are available to assist with weights more than 50 pounds. May climb 12 feet step ladder occasionally to access high areas. Requires use of both hands when operating equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time 260-day calendar position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Drivers License:
1. Valid PA drivers license
