Locum Vascular Surgeon Position in Colorado Springs CO
Summary: Join a dedicated team at a facility located in the scenic Colorado Springs where patient care meets innovative practices. This position is for a locum vascular surgeon starting September 2025 providing essential call coverage for surgical treatment including blunt and other vascular trauma. The hospital has a robust adult and geriatric patient population and emphasizes a supportive environment for both staff and patients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide 24-hour on-call coverage for vascular surgery including surgical treatment of trauma.
- Perform abdominal open and endovascular procedures.
- Complete necessary EMR training before the start date.
- Collaborate with existing team members for seamless patient care.
- Ensure timely response and adherence to procedural standards for trauma care.
Qualifications:
- Board Certification in Vascular Surgery - Required.
- Current active Colorado medical license or IMLC (with letters of qualification in hand at time of submission) - Required.
- Active DEA Registration - Required for credentialing.
- Must disclose the number of shifts available per month during the submission process.
- Availability for the specified dates in September is essential.
- Clean malpractice and background record for quick credentialing.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certification in Vascular Surgery.
- Active Colorado license or IMLC.
- Active DEA Registration.
