Sales Executive (Clearing & Forwarding)
Durban Negotiable basic & commission

The Role: Sales Executive (Clearing & Forwarding)
The Sales Executive will be responsible for securing new business and growing existing client relationships within the clearing and forwarding industry. This role requires a proactive and driven individual to identify opportunities present tailored solutions and achieve revenue targets while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and identify potential clients requiring clearing and forwarding services

  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities and trends in logistics

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets

  • Generate leads through networking cold calling industry events and referrals

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while understanding their logistics needs

  • Conduct service reviews with key accounts and identify cross-selling opportunities

  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals

  • Negotiate contracts and service level agreements with clients

  • Coordinate with operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding of new business

  • Stay informed on customs regulations international trade requirements and logistics trends

  • Provide clients with insights to optimize supply chain processes

About You

  • 3-5 years of proven sales experience in logistics freight forwarding or related industry

  • Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets

  • Knowledge of customs procedures international shipping and trade regulations

  • Strong communication negotiation and closing skills

  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems

  • Ability to understand complex logistics requirements and propose solutions

  • Self-motivated resilient and results-oriented with strong business acumen

  • Customer-focused with a passion for building long-term relationships

  • Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle for client visits
