A reputable organisation in George is seeking a detail-oriented and organised Stock Controller to join their operations team. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with experience in stock management who thrives in maintaining accuracy solving problems and ensuring smooth operational processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain and monitor accurate stock records including stock in/out transfers and returns
- Conduct cycle counts and full stock takes to ensure the integrity of stock data
- Investigate variances and escalate discrepancies when necessary
- Collaborate with procurement warehouse and operations teams to manage stock levels effectively
- Maintain system records and ensure that documentation is complete and up to date
- Assist with implementing stock control systems and continuous improvement initiatives
- Prepare and present reports on stock performance losses and reorder requirements
Requirements:- National Diploma or higher in Logistics Inventory Management or a related field
- 23 years experience in a stock control or inventory-related role
- Strong understanding of inventory management processes and systems
- Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory management software
- Strong attention to detail accuracy and problem-solving abilities
- Good communication and teamwork skills
