Job Description
Introduction
We are partnering with an established firm that is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join their Civils Department. This is a key leadership position where you will be responsible for managing projects mentoring junior staff and contributing to business development.
Minimum Requirements
- BEng / BSc Civil Engineering Degree
- 15 years of experience in the design site supervision and contract documentation of various civil engineering projects.
- Professional Registration with ECSA as PrEng.
- 3 years of experience in project management specifically with Expanded Public Works type projects.
- Proficient in Civil 3D and a strong knowledge of municipal infrastructural civil designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Act as a Project Leader and Senior Design Engineer overseeing project inception costing and design reviews.
- Technical Expertise: Your professional expertise will be utilized in the planning design and contract administration of roads sewerage water and stormwater systems.
- Team Management: You will be responsible for managing project staff including technicians and engineers as well as mentoring and training them.
- Business Development: Take an active role in client engagement marketing and the procurement of new work.
- Contract Administration: Prepare contract documentation and technical specifications and monitor the administration of construction contracts.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all work meets ISO 9001 quality assurance standards.
