Location: Houston
Oversee daily cabinet production operations to meet and exceed standards for safety quality cost and efficiency.
Lead and mentor a team of machine operators department leads and supervisors creating a culture of pride accountability and continuous development.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment by implementing and continuously improving health and safety programs in collaboration with EHS leadership.
Clearly communicate objectives set performance expectations and drive accountability across the team.
Monitor daily production KPIs and cost metrics; report on performance against budget cost goals and strategic objectives.
Collaborate with senior leadership as part of the strategic planning team for cabinet operations help shape long-term goals and execution strategies.
Lead and coordinate the creation and improvement of robust manufacturing processes and quality assurance programs that drive consistency and reduce variability.
Develop contingency plans to mitigate operational risks and ensure business continuity.
Partner with cross-functional teams including planning engineering HR quality and maintenance to ensure alignment and execution of shared goals.
Oversee labor planning in close collaboration with HR ensuring staffing levels meet production demand while promoting long-term talent development.
Drive continuous improvement efforts and lean manufacturing initiatives to reduce waste enhance efficiency and optimize throughput.
Research emerging technologies equipment and industry best practices; make recommendations that position the team ahead of the curve.
Coordinate cross-training and knowledge-sharing efforts between cabinet and countertop manufacturing to drive synergy and best-practice adoption.
Participate in financial reviews budget creation and P&L accountability to ensure operational performance aligns with financial objectives.
5 years of experience in manufacturing with at least 3 years in a supervisory or superintendent role.
Strong knowledge of cabinetry woodworking or high-mix high-volume manufacturing environments.
Proven track record in driving team performance process improvements and financial accountability.
Familiarity with finishing processes spray equipment and wood materials is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) and production software.
Strong analytical skills with a data-driven decision-making mindset.
Bachelor s degree in Operations Management Industrial Engineering or a related field preferred.
