We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team focusing on the archiving indexing and maintenance of SQL databases across our ERP landscape.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the integrity performance and security of our database systems with a particular emphasis on efficient data archiving and indexing strategies. Experience with Oracle databases is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:
- Lead the administration and maintenance of SQL databases ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Working with Data Architecture to design and implement robust archiving solutions to manage data lifecycle and storage efficiency.
- Develop and maintain effective indexing strategies to support high-performance data retrieval.
- Monitor database health perform regular maintenance tasks and proactively resolve issues.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data retention requirements and implement compliant archiving processes.
- Provide technical guidance on best practices for database management backup and recovery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to database performance integrity and availability.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations maintenance activities and archiving processes.
- Communicate effectively with key stakeholders including Project Managers Developers and IT Operations to coordinate database changes and minimize conflicts.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience in administering and maintaining SQL databases.
- Strong understanding of database archiving indexing and performance tuning.
- Experience with Oracle database administration is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications in database administration (e.g. Microsoft Oracle) are advantageous.
- Strong working knowledge of database backup recovery and security best practices.
- Ability to create and update documentation of processes for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Analytical thinker resolve problems with a strong focus on attention to detail.
- Stakeholder management engage and motivate others. Customer and business focused at all times.
- Adaptable cope with the unexpected manage problems.
