Job Description
What will you be doing
As an Electrical Engineer in our Asset Operations Technical Service & Delivery (TS&D) team you will provide in-field electrical engineering expertise supporting Area Managers Technicians and contractors with both high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) equipment.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Leading by example ensuring compliance with HSEQ requirements.
- Providing site-level electrical engineering support across wind solar and BESS assets.
- Supporting planned maintenance fault-finding and emergent works on Electrical Balance of Plant (EBoP) and generation plant.
- Creating and reviewing work scopes instructions and quality plans.
- Challenging current processes driving continuous improvement and efficiency.
- Managing technical queries from teams contractors and suppliers.
- Reviewing updating and approving site electrical documentation (single-line diagrams drawings test data).
- Managing asset change processes including modifications retrofits and repairs.
- Scoping requirements for external specialists (e.g. Root Cause Analysis) to ensure asset integrity.
- Identifying and categorising risks ensuring they are logged and tracked.
- Training to become a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) under EDF-re E&M Safety Rules.

Qualifications :
Experience skills and qualifications required:
- Bachelors in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or equivalent).
- NEBOSH/IOSH (or equivalent) qualification.
- Strong knowledge of HV systems: installation operation maintenance and testing of switchgear transformers XLPE cables joints and terminations.
- Experience within power generation ideally including renewables (wind/solar/BESS). Offshore experience desirable.
- Ability to prioritise defect management and maintain safe working environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
