Job Description

This role is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract (FTC) based in Chadderton Oldham Greater Manchester.

Join our dynamic team as a Mechanical Engineer contributing to innovative solutions that enhance our global product portfolio. Reporting to the Engineering Team Leader youll collaborate with internal and external departments focusing on mechanical systems and solenoid technology development.

Your role is crucial in ensuring the performance and safety of our high-pressure instrumentation systems impacting customers worldwide.

As a hands-on problem solver youll identify process gaps enhance team capabilities and drive departmental efficiency. Your proactive approach and analytical mindset will be key in delivering effective solutions while upholding best practices. Thrive in a fast-paced environment tackling complex challenges independently and as part of a collaborative multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications :

Experience Requirements 

  • Proven experience in a similar mechanical electronics or mechatronics engineering background. 
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD design (e.g. Solid Edge Inventor). 
  • Strong understanding of high-pressure equipment and associated safety considerations.
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic equipment including valves and pumps.
  • Knowledge of Valve Seating and Sealing Technologies 
  • Exposure to R&D and new product development (NPD) processes. 
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
