Job Description
6-7 months contract with a local authority
Job Purpose
- The EV Project Officer will support the procurement and contract delivery of charging infrastructure for the Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) programme and other EV projects under the Councils Low Emission Strategy.
Key Duties/Accountabilities
- Contribute to the delivery of the LEVI programme and Low Emission Strategy projects
- Focus on the procurement and contract delivery of an EV pavement channel solution for private residential dwellings
- Develop and deliver an EV car club and EV taxi programme
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to deliver the Council s objectives and priorities
Essential Experience Required
- Proven track record in preparing environmental transport or highways strategy documents
- Experience in providing technical advice to inform planning decisions
- Substantial experience in developing and delivering EV charging or comparable infrastructure projects
- Experience in preparing funding applications and business cases
Essential Qualification Required
- Degree/Level 5 qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent demonstrable relevant work experience
Additional Requirements
- Working hours: 37 hours per week
- UK Full Driving Licence and use of vehicle required for business use as a casual car user

The EV Project Officer will support the project as it undertakes procurement to select a Charge Point Operator and will lead on the trial of cross pavement charging solutions and other EV projects under the Council's adopted Low Emission Strategy.
