About the Role
We are looking for a Procurement and Carbon Compliance Manager to champion sustainability across our organisation. You will lead on sustainable procurement supplier engagement and carbon compliance working closely with the Director of Finance to deliver measurable financial savings and reduce environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities
- Sustainable Procurement & Supplier Engagement
- Develop and implement a sustainable procurement policy and toolkit.
- Champion environmentally responsible purchasing across the organisation.
- Lead supplier engagement ensuring strong sustainability performance and ethical practices.
- Deliver cost savings while embedding best practice procurement processes.
- Contract Management
- Oversee supplier contracts and performance monitoring.
- Support contract administrators in reviews renewals and compliance.
- Maintain accurate contract data and create a pipeline of procurement activity.
- Sustainability Leadership
- Lead the development and delivery of the organisation s Sustainability Strategy.
- Drive measurable reductions in Scope 1 2 and 3 carbon emissions.
- Work with departments to embed sustainability in operations services and engagement activities.
- Represent the organisation on sector-wide sustainability initiatives including the Sustainable SUs Charter.
About You
We are looking for someone with a strong mix of sustainability procurement and leadership skills.
Essential criteria include:
- Relevant degree or professional experience in Sustainability Environmental Management or related field.
- Strong knowledge of sustainability policy and procurement practices.
- Experience developing and implementing sustainability strategies.
- Proven ability to deliver cost savings and reduce environmental impact through procurement.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement organisational and communication skills.
Desirable:
- Professional qualifications (CIPS Supply Chain Management or Environmental Management).
- Experience with carbon offsetting programmes.
- Membership of relevant professional bodies (e.g. IEMA CIPS).
