Responsibilities
- Advise clients on a wide range of employment law issues including conduct absence discrimination TUPE redundancy and settlements.
- Deliver practical commercially focused advice via telephone and written communication.
- Manage a caseload that includes contentious work (employment tribunals dispute resolution) and non-contentious tasks (contract reviews policy drafting compliance).
- Collaborate with HR managers and business stakeholders to provide practical legal solutions.
- Stay informed of developments in employment law and share insights and best practices with colleagues and clients.
- Maintain precise and comprehensive case management records.
- Handle a high volume of advisory work while ensuring excellent client service quality.
Requirements
- UK-qualified solicitor with 2 4 years post-qualified experience (PQE) in employment law.
- Proven expertise in both contentious (litigation/tribunal) and non-contentious (advisory/compliance) employment law matters.
- Ability to manage a demanding caseload and consistently meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build client relationships.
- Practical problem solver with a commercial mindset and keen attention to detail.
- Current knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR practices.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Manchester.
