You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Mechanical Inspector will act on behalf of the Client to ensure quality compliance in mechanical works including structural steel fabrication fabricated piping and welding activities. The role involves inspection verification and monitoring to ensure adherence to applicable codes standards and project specifications.
Conduct inspections and surveillance of structural steel fabrication fabricated piping and welding activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings procedures and specifications.
Verify correct usage of WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications) welding parameters and consumables during execution.
Ensure compliance with AWS D1.1 and other relevant international standards.
Perform and/or witness Non-Destructive Examinations (NDE) including RT UT PT and MT at Level-II.
Review and validate material certificates welding records NDE reports and quality control documentation.
Identify and report any non-conformities ensuring proper corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
Coordinate with client representatives contractors and quality teams to resolve inspection-related issues.
Maintain detailed inspection records and prepare reports for client submission.
Bachelor s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
8 to 15 years of experience in inspection roles within steel fabrication piping and welding in industrial projects.
Certified NDE Level II in RT/UT/PT/MT.
Strong knowledge of welding codes and standards (AWS D1.1 ASME ASTM API etc.).
Familiarity with fabrication shop and site quality procedures.
Strong communication and reporting skills with the ability to work independently on behalf of the client.
