Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of maintenance contract packages by providing field measurements estimating quantities and other necessary data.
Prepare and review contract maintenance work orders.
Plan and schedule contractor maintenance activities.
Prepare contract progress reports.
Periodically review the roadway and roadside for short-term and long-term maintenance needs.
Assist in performing final inspection of construction projects.
Respond to RISC or other major incidents to assist in highway clearance during normal work hours.
Be assigned On-Call status for emergency calls from Turnpike Operations Center for up to two months per year during which assigned time
Must respond to a call to report at an agreed upon telephone number and
When called must immediately report to a work location and assist in returning the roadway to safe operation.
Qualifications:
Associates degree preferred with a minimum or 3 years of roadway maintenance or construction experience.
Experience with FDOT specifications and procedures.
Knowledge of Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) standards and advanced preferred.
