The Department of Labor and Workforce Development Division of AVTEC is recruiting for a
Publications Specialist 2 located in Seward!
No Cover Letter Required!




This position is in the General Government Unit (GGU) at a Range 16.


What You Will Be Doing:
This position performs the coordination of all communication and promotional activities and development of print and electronic documents in alignment with the division communication plan; this includes fully proficient level editing and publishing duties to produce printed materials and electronic documents including but not limited to reports publications articles brochures and newsletters; and is responsible for providing support to the director or their designee for writing editing and publishing internal and external communication materials.

  • Writing: Recognizes or uses correct English grammar punctuation and spelling; communicates information (for example facts ideas or messages) in a succinct and organized manner; produces written information which may include technical material that is appropriate for the intended audience.

Equivalent to those typically gained by:
Any combination of preparatory post-secondary education and/or experience in writing editing design and layout of written materials such as publications articles brochures newsletters or other printed materials and/or internet documents.
